Driving license class B with 17
Accompanied driving is called the driver's license from 17. But what does that actually mean for the driver license holder and his companion? What needs to be considered when registering and for which license categories does B 17 apply?
If you want to get your driving license at 17, then the provisions of the driver's license regulation (FeV, §48a) apply. In this, the training and the subsequent driving are regulated at 17.
With 16 and a half you can register with us in the driving school for class B or BE. The legal guardians must agree to the application for BF17.
The driving license at 17 is a normal theoretical and practical training in the driving school and concludes with a theoretical and practical exam. The theory exam may be taken a maximum of 3 months before the 17th birthday and the practical exam may be taken a maximum of 1 month before the 17th birthday. From the age of 17, the test certificate in which the accompanying persons are entered is handed over. With the test certificate, you may only drive a car if you are accompanied and only in Germany and Austria .
From the age of 18 , the test certificate can be exchanged for the card driver's license at the driving license authority. Three months after your 18th birthday, the examination certificate loses its validity.
